Hello, I'm in Towcester.
Had the pleasure of riding round MK last Sunday on one of my mates Raleigh Choppers. Amongst the 40 odd bikes was a great looking Raleigh Bomber which the owner kindly let me have a wobble on. Decided there & then, due to its great looks, ease to ride & practicality.
Also got a Raleigh Chipper waiting for my daughter so will restore them both together. Will post pictures when I have worked out how to.
Regards, Dan.

wasn't sean by any chance ?
bombers in my experience ride a lot better than the chopper or grifter
not just being bias I have a chopper and the grifter
chopper a but wobbly, grifter heavy going, bomber seems to cruise more easily

Raleigh Chipper? That's a blast from the past! A mate of mine had a blue one of those bitd when I had a second hand purple Tomahawk. Welcome in by the way. Will be good to see pics of your resto's as they take shape.

Hi, It was Sean from Sheffield who let me have a go on his at the MK get together.
I'm a bit busy this week but hopefully I can make a start on de-clagging soon. It's got 82 9 on the 3 speed hub. Haven't found the frame number yet. The bars are heavily corroded. The front rim runs true, the back has a 2-3mm buckle & I think they will clean up ok.
Best rgds, Dan.

Not this bad boy was it!!! Yes it was that 1 alright. See what you have gone & done by letting me have a go on her (or him). Top bloke Sean. Can I ask why you have a pic of my mum as your avatar ? He, he.

I had a yellow one when I was 5 or 6. After that I had a raleigh rodeo. Then I knew I had hit the big time I can tell you !
