lovely job.
looking at the pictures reminded me of a question, you see the front callipers, when you brake what's to stop them bending upwards with the direction of wheel travel and rubbing on the tyre wall ?
on my bomber one side has this kind of swan neck rod that loops round the back of the fork (like a brace) wondered if this was retrofitted or standard solution, its missing from the other side and the caliper has bent

Do you mean these?? These were fitted as standard on grifters! so I dont see why not for bombers.

That's going to be a a cracker Oldboy! I might nick the idea of thr 'R' nut on the seat clamp for one of mine too The brake blocks on mine are as you describe yours Darren - see front fork pic in the 'then there were two' post in the resto section. Not sure about the ones on the back though - think they might have them too. Will have to look and let you know. Spare ones often come up on the ebay Grifter listings. There's even a guy who sells just the rubber covers for a couple of quid (inc postage) Although he's not listing at the mo.

yeah the back (well on mine anyway) have chrome P shape brackets that butt up to the frame, they are being pushed rather than pulled

Yeah dont think this is a bomber saddle! get up a pic or two of the other saddle. my brother says he knows of a place that may recover the saddle will have to look into that!
