Greetings. I'm Rich, from the above town. Haven't got myself a bomber, in stead an 85 Maverick, which I collected in February ish this year. I do have two or three Grifters too. Of which I've owned for the last 5yrs. A mk2 stars and a mk1 candy red. The 3rd is a project I've just started. i'll get some pics up soon, we all like pictures?

Cheers Mike. I've had a ride on a bomber and loved it. (Jasons from Cambridge way) but prices have risen high for a decent rider... and as I was looking on the Bay. I found the maverick in Kettering :-)

Welcome. Yes, Bomber prices do seem to be on the up - and they seem thinner on the ground too. Not seen that many advertised on the bay this year, compared with previous years. And those that have come up are up for high prices. There is one on as a classified ad at the mo for £350 and it doesn't even have an original seat! Having said that, another has attracted interest with a 99p start price and is currently sitting at £58, so much more within reach. Seems like my £50 bike bought a few years ago now (and subsequently restored) was a bargain. Although it has to be said, not as much of a bargain as a tenner!

Just got my hands on my second bomber. So now I have two non runners! Lol Second one has no wheels, handlebar is very poor. Thankfully I bought the two from Glen. It does though have a seat in very good condition. Has a couple of rips. I am currently stripping it down. Will take some pics later and post up at some stage.

Bomber mentioned above with the 99p start went for £180.00 in the end. Not bad for a bike with the wrong seat and no decals (although did have mudguards and looked tidy apart from that). Seems like relative rarity is now beginning to push prices higher.

Hi Rich. A belated hello from me as I've not been popping in to the forum lately and I used to be on it all the time. As you might see from my avatar we could be the ginger2 Anyway. I know you're pretty active on the Grifter forum (I guess it's you lol) so it's good to have you on here too.
